Taken before and after training, BCAAs can increase muscle mass and limit protein degradation (anticatabolic role).
It is therefore a dietary supplement of choice for mass gain . Once assimilated, BCAAs are used directly by muscle cells as a source of energy.
Taking BCAAs prevents the body from drawing on its own protein stores for energy.
